My world flipped upside down when I left my husband on my 30th birthday, fell in love with another man, and moved into a van with my pitbull.
That’s when I decided I was done shrinking my bones to fit into spaces that were never mine to begin with.
So I wrote my way through it.

Q: Do I have to be a “good" or experienced writer to take this course?
Nope. In fact, I’d rather you not be worried about being a “good” writer. This isn’t about perfect sentences or sounding smart—it’s about writing what’s true and alive in you. The best writing isn’t polished; it’s felt.

Q: What if I don’t know what to write about?
That’s exactly why you’re here. This course will guide you through provocative prompts, storytelling techniques, and exercises that will pull the words out of you. You don’t need inspiration—you just need a willingness to show up and write.
Then you’re exactly where you need to be. Fear means there’s something potent waiting to be uncovered. You don’t have to write about everything—but you will be challenged to go deeper than what feels “safe.” Writing is rebellion. And sometimes, rebellion starts with one brave word.
Q: What if I’m scared to write about certain things?
The call times are as follows:
- Week 1 – Sunday, May 11th at 5 PM CST
- Week 2 – Sunday, May 18th at 11 AM CST
- Week 3 – No group call (but there is a call with your writing partner*)
- Week 4 – Sunday, June 1st at 11 AM CST
- Week 5 – Sunday, June 8th at 11 AM CST
- Week 6 – Sunday, June 15th at 11 AM CST
